Would a big magnet erase info from an SD card?

My water proof camera is at the bottom of an 8 to 10 ft. pool under a waterfall in a river. I can't think of how to retrieve it...I thought just maybe a big enough magnet might pick it up....but then I wondered if that might erase my pictures? :(
