My router reset button also reset my password, help!?

i was having a connection issue on a program, and a reccomendation said i should reset my router. well after i did that it also changed the name of my connectivity from Home to something like "GD2KF25". it also reset my password and i dont know how to retrieve it. please help me out, thanks :)
