Can my employer charge for training?

I would steer clear of this guy. Employers can charge for training, but it's usually only when its training done outside the company. For example, if you were required to be First Aid certified for a job, it's reasonable that you might have to pay to take the certification classes. However, it sounds more like this guy is trying to rip you off.
