Does norton send you a new password? or does it keep the old one?

ok i need to get into norton parental control accounts but i cannot do that because i dont have the password. My parents set it up for me but i cant get onto youtube and they are not here nor will they be for a while(my grandparents are babysitting me.) i have the email but i dont want them to know that i got in so one question--- when you click retrieve password does it send you the old password or does it give you a new, random password??
