Once you've deleted a video off a computer is there any way you can get it back?

Okay so me and my boyfriend made a video on my webcam on my computer that i don't want anyone else seeing, so i deleted it and deleted it out of my trash. But im paranoid that if my parents or friends get on my computer that they might find it some how and i just want it off cause im really ashamed of it. What do i need to do? Or can anyone even retrieve it after its been deleted? Please help!
