I bought a 3 month Xbox Live card but its not working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

I bought a 3 month Xbox Live card a few weeks ago... Whenever i put it in it says "Cannot Retrieve Information From Xbox Live" Any ideas?
