F322 -what are the benefits of developing chemical processes with a high atom economy? except less waste?

I'm just going through the F322 chemistry unit 2 syllabus and I just wanted to know the answer to the learning objective (o)- I can't think of anything else other than less waste materials produced and to conserve resources- maybe that's all we need to know! But I would much appreciate some help : )
